Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our lovely animals.

Please ensure you have read and understood the following adoption policies before enquiring about an animal from Wythall Animal Sanctuary, and that you are comfortable with the adoption fees.

We are always 100% honest and give adopters any and all information we have on the animals in our care, although many of our animals are often strays with little to no know history.

We assess all of our animals before putting them up for adoption, this helps ensure we are looking for the right home for that individual animal <3

Our assessments are completed by our dedicated staff with years of training, knowledge and experience, our assessments help animals in our care find the home best suited to them which leads to many more successful adoptions.

Adoption Process

Take a look on our website to see if there is an animal that you are interested in, and that they would be suited to you and your lifestyle by reading all their page.

1) Fill out an Adoption Enquiry Form with as much information as possible.

  • IF you are a suitable candidate for that animal, one of our team will be in touch.

  • For cat adoptions we do have to complete our road checks and home check prior to arranging the meet. Most of our home checks for cats are done remotely in the form of a home video tour or photos of the home. We do home visits in person for indoor cats with specific needs.

  • Depending on the dog we may arrange a home check prior to yur first meet, this is for dogs that may struggle with introductions or who may have specific needs.

2)We will then arrange for you/your family to come up and meet the animal. Some animals will need multiple meets.

  • For dog adoptions where you have an existing dog in the home, a dog meet will be arranged for here at the Sanctuary (we will require proof of up to date vaccinations)

  • For dog adoptions one of our team will then arrange to come out and do a homecheck.

  • If all goes well we will then arrange a day for you to come and collect the animal, ready to start its new life with you!

3) We offer lifetime support and full rescue back up, meaning we will always take our animals back if they should need us. After adopting an animal from us we follow up to see how you are getting on and we will always be here to offer advice or support where we can.
