My story so far…

Hi my name is Sully

I came into the sanctuary a few months ago after I had been found roaming in the foyer of a block of flats in Birmingham city centre. I was picked up by the manager of the flats who then brought me to the sanctuary. I was very scared of the environment I was found in and all the residents denied knowing me. It appeared that it was more likely I had been kicked out and abandoned as nobody came forward for me. My carers do not believe I had been a proper stray on the streets but actually owned as I was so friendly and clearly socialised.

I am a very loving boy and enjoy affection and cuddles. I do also enjoy my own time and space and can also be very playful. I can be a bit wary at times because I am a little bit of a sensitive boy sometimes. I am however quite confident with new people and generally a friendly sweet boy.

I have grown to become more obsessed with food and get very vocal around meal times- (see photo below of me shouting for my treat!). My carer is teaching me to have some patience and wait for my food. Advice will be given to potential adopters.

I have no current health concerns.

Home I am looking for…

I could live with sensible children 10+ that will respect my space and be gentle and kind to me.

I must be the only cat in my new home as I have mixed with some cats at the sanctuary and just really dont take to them very well and can be quite grumpy towards them. I am scared of dogs so would not enjoy living with one!

I would be fine to be homed to be an indoor only cat in a home with sufficient space (not a small flat) and plenty of enrichment such as lots of cat toys and cat furniture to keep me occupied. I would also need enough company if being kept indoor only. Alternatively I could be homed to have safe outdoor access after a settling in period of at least 8 weeks indoors. I will need my new home to be well away from any main/busy roads and railway lines for my own safety.

Homes with catios or cat proofed gardens would be preferred.

Home and Road/environmental checks apply.

(Applicants will ONLY be contacted if you are a suitable match. Please be aware we complete our rehoming checks prior to arranging any meets)

If you think you could offer me the home I need, please fill out an Adoption Enquiry Form. Please make sure you have read about all of my needs and our adoption policies before applying.

Forms lacking in detail or with questions unanswered may not be considered, we need to ensure we are matching our cats to the right home for them.
