  • Breed -Mastiff x Great Dane

  • Size - Large

  • Sex - Male

  • Age - 6 months

  • Colour - Black & white

  • Live with children - 16+

  • Live with other dogs - currently being assessed

  • Live with cats / small animals - Currently being assessed

  • Temperament - Sweet, friendly, Energetic!

  • Knows basic commands -sit, wait

  • Able to be left - Up to 1-2 hours built up over a period of time initially could only be left 15-30mins max

  • Adoption fee - FOSTER ONLY FOR NOW

    All of our dogs come neutered, vaccinated & microchipped, unless stated otherwise.

  • **Joey is still ENTIRE and will be neutered once old enough

  • **Joey has started his vaccine course so will be having second injections in a few weeks - any fosterer’s must be able to either bring Joey to the Sanctuary or directly to our vets in Redditch when he is due his second vaccinations and check

My story so far…

Hi I’m Joey! I came to the Sanctuary after they offered me a Rescue space after I ended up in pound kennels and at the risk of loosing my life if no rescues could take me.

As a stray into the pound there is no known history on me but my carers say I am a super sweet energetic boy who loves to learn!

Home I am looking for…

I’m looking for a large dog breed experienced foster home where I can get all the time and attention I need. As I am just a young puppy still, I am going to need lots of training, teaching me all the puppy basics and giving me the foundations I need to grow into a well behaved dog.

I’ve already shown how smart I am and how much I love to learn!! I’d ideally want someone who would be willing to take me to training classes and dedicate the time to follow my training consistently each day.

My carers here say I can be quite needy when they leave me alone in my kennel but I do quickly settle back down once they are out of sight. Of course I am still just a puppy so this is quite understandable as I really need to be with others and as they don’t know any history on me it may well be I am not used to being left on my own at all. So I would need someone who is around most of the day, I could be left for
